Things to do in the San Fernando Valley, LA area, Nov. 23-30

CSUN Powwow: The Cal State Northridge American Indian Studies program and the American Indian Student Association host the 38th annual event with dance, music, children’s activities and arts and crafts vendors, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Nov. 25. Gourd dancing, 11 a.m., followed by the Grand Entry procession that includes blessings, greetings and songs, including members of Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians. Free admission.
