CSUN Men’s Soccer team’s Jorge Solorzano was named Big West Freshman of the Year, with Jamar Ricketts receiving All-Big West First Team accolades. Solorzano finished seventh in goals scored and eighth in points in the Big West, while Ricketts led the team with eight goals and five assists. Bryan Bustamante and Michael Arrington also received Honorable Mentions. Solorzano is the fifth Matador in team history to win the Freshman of the Year award. Ricketts was praised for his shot accuracy, ranking third in Division I soccer.
