CSUN Women’s Soccer made a valiant effort for a comeback but fell short in a 5-3 loss to UC San Diego. Izabel Reyes scored her first career brace, with Ashley Cruz also finding the net for CSUN. The Tritons controlled the first half, building a three-goal lead. CSUN fought back in the second half, with Reyes scoring two goals and Cruz adding another. However, UCSD responded with a goal of their own to secure the win. Despite the loss, CSUN showed great energy and their second-half performance was commendable. CSUN will play their next game at home against UC Irvine. #GoMatadors
