Ashley Cruz, a graduate student on the CSUN women’s soccer team, has made history by returning for a seventh season, a first for any Matador team. Despite facing challenges such as multiple ACL injuries and the COVID-19 pandemic, Cruz has persevered and emerged as a top scoring threat. In addition to her athletic success, Cruz has excelled academically and been recognized for her commitment to her studies. She is currently enrolled in the master’s program for Public Health and has an internship at a local medical center. Cruz’s dedication and determination have left a lasting impact on the CSUN Women’s Soccer program.
