CSUN falls short in five-set match against Cal State Bakersfield

Junior Carisa Barron records a triple-double, but CSUN falls in five sets against Cal State Bakersfield in the Big West opener. Despite Barron’s impressive performance of 16 kills, 17 assists, and 12 digs, CSUN couldn’t secure the win. The Matadors struggled with their hitting, as Bakersfield outperformed them with a .241 hitting percentage compared to CSUN’s .164. Although the Matadors displayed strong serving with 11 aces, Bakersfield had the edge in blocks and team digs. CSUN is now 2-10 overall and 0-1 in the Big West.
