CSUN’s Dorottya Telek and Jakob Simons have been named the Big West Scholar-Athletes of the Year. The announcement was made by the league office on Tuesday. The Big West Academic Honors celebrates student-athletes who excel in academics, athletics, and community service. Telek, a senior on the women’s water polo team, holds multiple records and has been actively involved in community service. Simons, a graduate student on the baseball team, had an outstanding season and has been recognized for his academic achievements and contributions to campus events. Both Telek and Simons represent a group of over 2,300 student-athletes who made the Commissioners Honor Roll.
