Freshman Solorzano scores first career goal to secure 1-1 draw for CSUN against Ohio State

In their 2023 opener, Ohio State tied with CSUN as freshman Jorge Solorzano scored his first career goal with 20 seconds remaining in the second half. The teams played a scoreless first half before Shaun Ryan broke the seal for the Buckeyes with a header in the 67th minute. CSUN was down a man after Martin Palinic received a red card in the 82nd minute. Ohio State outshot CSUN 15-4, but CSUN goalkeeper Cooper Wenzel made four saves to secure the tie. CSUN will face Dayton in their next match.
