Self-care and Earth Day

April 17, 2023

Dear COE Community,

This Saturday, April 22nd, is Earth Day, a time to reflect on how caring for the earth is really about caring for ourselves! Events are available all week all over the world and can be found at the Official 2023 Earth Day website:

“Earth Week will pioneer EARTHDAY.ORG’s farthest reaching efforts to date by amplifying inspiration and action worldwide from April 14th to April 22nd worldwide. Join us virtually for a series of Earth Day Lives or in person at one of our major events happening across each time zone. (one event is in Santa Monica, CA.!) The Earth Day 2023 theme, Invest in Our Planet, is focused on engaging the more than 1 billion people, governments, institutions, and businesses who participate in Earth Day to recognize our collective responsibility and to help accelerate the transition to an equitable, prosperous green economy for all. We are focused on reframing the conversation, accelerating action, and bringing everyone together to understand that this is within our reach if we work together.  Whether you are taking actions virtually or in person – you can join the largest environmental movement on Earth!”

You can RSVP to get links to the events at: https://www.earthday.org/?gad=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkL2QwPKu_gIVRSOtBh20CAaQEAAYASAAEgJ8S_D_BwE

And if you are interested in viewing an Earth Day toolkit with special sections for universities, faculty, and students, please go to https://www.earthday.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/ED23-Action-Toolkit.pdf
