"Why are Indigenous communities in Guatemala being criminalized", featuring Guest Speaker, Lucia Ixchiu.
Lucia Ixchiu is a Mayan Indigenous Kiche woman, a cultural promoter, journalist and feminist. She is one of the co-founders of the Festivales Solidarios (Solidarity Festivals) collective. The collective works on issues related to Indigenous rights, defense of the land, the environment, and the preservation of historical memory through art, culture and public events.
