Previously, Nguyen was a news producer at KCRW-FM 89.9, an NPR member station broadcasting from Santa Monica College. From September 2018 to May 2020, he worked as a news production assistant at KNX-FM 1070 in Los Angeles and as a sports reporter for the Los Angeles Times. Nguyen holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University, Northridge.
