Christopher Hernandez, one of four children of Eliseo Hernandez, a cook who has worked at Rancho La Quinta for 19 years, said, “It’s really great to see my dad’s second family. Now I get to see the faces of the people behind the donations.” Christopher is studying kinesiology at College of the Desert and has the real-world opportunity to shadow a physical therapist at Movement for Life in Indio. His brother, Christian, and sister, Andrea, also attended the reception to give updates on their studies. Enamored with physics and simulations, Christian is studying computer science at COD and plans to transfer to Chico State to pursue a career in physics and research and development. Andrea is an aspiring filmmaker studying cinematography at California State University, Northridge. A fourth sibling, Emmanuel, is pursuing a theater degree from California State University, Long Beach.
