Zsófia Lakatos, the former president of the Hungarian Public Relations Association, has been working as a public relations specialist for more than 20 years. After completing public relations studies at the College of Foreign Trade and California State University Northridge, he worked for the Capital Communications Financial Communications Agency from 2000 to 2008, and in 2008 as the public relations manager for the Department of Environment and Water’s climate campaign. In the meantime, he obtained an MBA in Management from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. From 2008 to 2015, he was the CEO of Hill + Knowlton’s PR agency, and in 2015, he founded his own agency, Emerald PR. In 2001 he was the founder of the Professional College of PR Agencies, and from 2005 he was a member of the board of the Hungarian Public Relations Association (MPRSZ) for 15 years. Last year he was elected a Perpetual Member of the Hungarian Public Relations Association, and now he is a member of the WCFA Global Advisory Board.
