Working in tandem toward Paralympic gold: A blind athlete, his sighted guide and their bond

Williams, who grew up in Visalia, California, started running in third grade and competed in track and field for most of his life. His mother, a former track and field runner herself, influenced him. He competed as a sprinter in junior college and at California State University at Northridge. But after graduation in 2005, he needed a job. Armed with a graphic design degree in advertising but few leads, he started working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car to pay the bills.
