Long Beach singer stars in West Coast premiere of ‘Birds in the Moon,” outdoors in Santa Monica

Altany earned her master’s degree in vocal performance from Cal State Northridge while her husband Steve O’Conner, earned his master’s degree in music from Cal State Long Beach, later teaching there. Both now teach music lessons out of their home in the Wrigley district of Long Beach. She has been a guest vocal coach and choir consultant for the Walnut Valley Unified School District since 2014.
