Dr. Theresa White
Greetings! I'm Dr. Theresa White, the Founding Director of the Black Scholars Matter (BSM) Program, Professor and Former Chair of the Department of Africana Studies. I serve as the Co-Chair of the Black Student Success Council (BSSC), and a CSUN Commissioner for Diversity and Inclusion. My goal is to increase the pipeline of students of African descent on campus, to champion Black student success through a holistic ego-system of support, and to serve as a staunch advocate for student well-being, activism and empowerment. The BSM Empowerment Squad and I are excited to share the richness of this unique program with you!
Divine Nwokoye
Hi! I'm Divine Nwokoye and I'm the Black Scholars Matter Program Coordinator. I got my bachelor's in film at UT Austin and am now a second-year screenwriting MFA candidate at CSUN's very own Mike Curb College. I'm excited to support our BSM scholars and join this wonderful community.
Julissa Garcia
Hi there, I’m Julissa Garcia and I am the Creative Media Manager. I am a recent CSUN graduate with a bachelor's in art, with a concentration in Graphic Design. I’m excited to be a part of the Creative Team and I look forward to assisting the team in enhancing the BSM mission creatively by bringing new ideas to the space.
Anaiya Hale
Hey! My name is Anaiya Hale, and I am one of the Student Outreach Ambassadors for the BSM program. I am a freshman at CSUN, and my major is Business Administration: Financial Analysis. As a Student Outreach Ambassador, I strive to support Black students on their path to becoming tomorrow's professionals.

What’s up Y'all? Hi, my name is Gregory Woodson and I'm one of the Student Outreach Ambassadors. I'm currently a Junior studying Business Administration and Management at CSUN.
