Faculty: Complete The AASHE Sustainability (STARS) Survey & Be Entered to Win a $50 REI Gift Card! | August 15
With the support of Provost Mary Beth Walker and Dr. Natale Zappia, the Institute for Sustainability is assessing the extent to which faculty members’ courses, research, and scholarship address or incorporate sustainability. This is being done as part of CSUN’s continued reporting for AASHE Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS), which is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure sustainability performance.
Our goal is to develop an inventory of CSUN courses that are focused on or include sustainability as well as a faculty expert directory to facilitate cross-disciplinary research and potential funding partnerships.
We value your time. The survey will only take 5 minutes to complete. Five faculty respondents will be randomly selected to receive a $50 REI gift card. Please complete this form by 8/15/2021 for your work to be included.

Calling All CSUN Navigators! | Welcome & Help Students Find Their Way Around Campus August 30 & 31
CSUN Navigators are staff and faculty that welcome our students during the first two days of the fall semester, answering questions and helping students find their way (navigate) to classes and other locations.
Fall 2021 marks the ninth year for the CSUN Navigators! With the expectation of a large number of new and returning students coming to campus for the first time, we will need a lot of volunteers to assist us with this well received program. Even if you know very little about the campus, we will give you all the tools you need to be a great Navigator. This is a great opportunity to interact with our students and colleagues!
