Nazarian College Alumnus Sergio Retamal Appointed to Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Economic Advisory Council
Nazarian College alumnus, and Founder and CEO of Global4PL Supply Chain Consulting & Software, Sergio Retamal, was recently appointed to the Twelfth District Economic Advisory Council by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
“It is a source of great pride for the Nazarian College to see our alumni excel in the upper echelons of business and make a positive impact on their community,” said Chandra Subramaniam, dean of the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics. “This is proof positive that we are indeed educating students to be a force for a better future. Sergio’s accomplishment is one that we can all relish and provides a great example for our students. I am very happy for him.”
The Twelfth District Economic Advisory Council is a source of information on current and pending economic developments in the Twelfth District. The members provide observations, opinions, and advice to members of the boards of directors and management of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, with branch offices in Los Angeles, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Portland, and a cash processing office in Phoenix, provides wholesale banking services to financial institutions throughout the nine western states. As the nation's central bank, the Federal Reserve System formulates monetary policy, serves as a bank regulator, administers certain consumer protection laws, and is fiscal agent for the U.S. government.
