CSUN’s Fall 2020 Planning Hub
In planning for the fall 2021 semester, the California University joined the University of California in announcing that all CSU and UC campuses intend to require faculty, staff and students who are on campus this fall be immunized against COVID-19. This requirement will be conditioned upon full approval of one or more vaccines by the FDA, as well as adequate availability of the fully approved vaccines. Learning at CSUN
Virtual classes are currently being supplemented with a limited number of face-to-face courses and labs that require in-person experiences. Find out about the various learning formats here.
Academic Advisement
Students can find virtual academic support services, including online tutoring, writing lab support and supplemental instruction. Advisement is taking place via Zoom, phone and email by all advising offices on campus.
Student Life
CSUN supports all Matadors and strives to ensure every student feels a sense of belonging and connection with the CSUN campus community. Student services and support are rendered primarily through remote service delivery to promote student safety.
Health and Safety
CSUN has implemented health and safety measures in consultation with the California Department of Public Health and the LA County Department of Public Health. The Klotz Student Health Center and University Counseling Services continue to provide services via on-site and telehealth appointments.
Campus Operations
CSUN’s campus remains open to maintain critical operations, including the Student Health Center, Information Technology in support of virtual modalities and other critical operations. Learn more about the status of campus operations.
Research/Creative Activities
CSUN has developed a phased approach to resume research and creative activities in support of the health and safety of CSUN personnel and surrounding communities, continuity of essential research and creative activities, and the re-initiation of other research and creative activities as quickly as feasible within the public health and safety guidelines.

Access to Technology
Information Technology provide students, faculty and staff with access to the technology and support needed to realize student success. Learn more about the Device Loaner Program, computer labs, campus WiFi and other technology resources.
Student Housing
Student Housing continues to be provided on a limited basis, following LA County Department of Public Health guidance on the health and safety of residents and employees.
Campus Dining
Residential dining services are provided for those individuals living within Student Housing. Dining services will follow California Department of Public Health, CDC and LA County Department of Public Health guidelines.
Athletics
The CSUN Athletics Department has developed a detailed 10-phase approach guiding the return of Intercollegiate Athletics to campus operations, with safety and health as its utmost priority.
Tuition and Mandatory Fees
CSUN provides students with full academic credit for courses taken and delivered by virtual learning. Also, students have access to comprehensive student support services and student life opportunities.
