Nicola Chávez Courtright is a Ph.D. student and founder and former director (2013-2017) of Amate El Salvador Center for Gender and Sexual Diversity Studies, the first Salvadoran LGBT archive. Her graduate research focuses on Salvadoran queer movements and identities in conversation with global gay scripts.
