Siqi Wei

Dr. Siqi Wei is an Assistant Professor of Finance at CSUN. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the Spears School of Business, Oklahoma State University (OSU). He also holds a Master's degree in Finance from the University of Denver. Dr. Wei is interested in empirical corporate finance with a focus on ownership structure, firm’s risk-taking, and corporate policies. His second line of research is relevant to the impact of information intermediaries - such as institutional investors - on firms' decision outcomes and market behaviors. His teaching interest includes corporate finance, investments, and financial modeling. Before Dr. Wei joined CSUN in Fall 2019, he taught both introductory level and upper-division undergraduate courses at OSU. He is seeking to create a positive learning environment in the classroom and to provide practical implications of finance for his students.
