It’s a reunion for Mark Gottfried, Lorenzo Romar as CSUN runs past Pepperdine

MALIBU — The Pepperdine and Cal State Northridge men’s basketball teams entered the 2018-19 season in seemingly similar places. Both programs were coming off dismal six-win campaigns last year. Both made splashy coaching hires over the offseason and feature young talent. Both, it appeared, were on the bottom floor of a tall building waiting for an elevator.
