Digital Disconnect Movie Poster

In celebration of National Media Literacy Week.

A screening and live-tweeting event as we present "Digital Disconnect: How Capitalism is Turning the Internet Against Democracy."

Based on the work of renowned scholar Robert McChesney, "Digital Disconnect" will help make sense of how the Internet and our digital devices have revolutionized the way we work, play, connect and communicate. The documentary also discusses how the technological revolution has compromised privacy and national security, entrapped us in ideological filter bubbles, and empowered the spread of "fake" news at the expense of truth, accuracy, and real journalism creating a toxic information environment.
