As another school year winds down, another Dietetic Intern cohort graduates. On June 1st, the 2017-2018 cohort graduated from the Dietetic Internship. White Coats filled the room of the Orange Grove Bistro as family, friends, and preceptors cheered on the new graduates, who have all just completed the 1200 hour supervised practice. This is a big celebration for the Dietetic Interns, as the ceremony marks the end of a 10-month long journey towards becoming Registered Dietitians. This is a meaningful ceremony that symbolizes the beginning of the intern’s service as Registered Dietitians. Memories were shared and hugs were exchanged. The interns received their white coats from the Internship Director, Dr. Annette Besnilian, and Internship Coordinator, Karmen Ovsepyan, as they took the ceremonial oath to practice the art and science of dietetics to the best of their abilities and to promote excellence in the dietetic profession.
Congratulations CSUN Dietetic Interns 2017-2018! You are all one step closer to becoming Registered Dietitians. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
