The Tribune boys won last year’s event to even the overall series 7-7, and the talent this year is arguably as good as its ever been, highlighted by Pasadena’s UNLV-bound Bryce Hamilton along with his teammate Darius Brown II, on his way to Cal State Northridge, for the Star-News team. Pasadena advanced to the CIF Southern Section Division 1 championship before losing to eventual state champion Chino Hills.
