Help Students Dress for Success! Donate Your Clean, Gently Used or New Business Attire to Matty's Closet | Through May 9
The Career Center is on the cutting edge of a nation-wide trend in launching a professional clothes closet on campus!
The campus closet, named Matty's Closet, will be a wonderful addition to the mission of CSUN and the Career Center. It will take the form of a small boutique in which we will offer to our students free of charge clothing that is appropriate for all things professional: job interviews, first day of a new job, professional functions, conferences, etc. Students will also have the opportunity to attend workshops and receive guidance that will enhance their experience by providing them with the means to be better prepared and more confident when they select future clothing for themselves.
The donated clothing will be gently used and new garments. That is where you, our wonderful colleagues, come in. We believe that you are the campus's most important and best resource; a great group to be part of our first donation drive!
We will always accept donations, but we will be having full clothing drives at specific times of the year. Our first drive is going on now through May 9th. Boxes with our logo are strategically placed around campus, including Human Resources, UN 165, for collection. If you desire a receipt for tax purposes, please contact the Career Center. Please donate clean clothing only.
Donations are needed for all genders, all sizes and all levels of 'professionalism' from suits to business casual.
Thank you for your support and collaborating with the Career Center to make this undertaking successful and vital to the education and success of our students.
