Dean is the 19th sheriff of Ventura County and a 35-year veteran of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office. He has master’s degrees, in public administration from Cal State Northridge and in management from Cal Poly Pomona. He is a graduate of the California State Peace Officers Command College.
