About these posters
These posters were designed by students in Prof. Laurel Long's spring 2017 upper-division illustration class at CSUN. You can download and print your own small (8 1/2x11) poster using the images below. If you would like a large format poster to display in your department, please contact Kelly Kroeker (Academic First Year Experiences) at x6535 or . If you request a poster for your department, please indicate which poster you want by giving Kelly the artist's name.
Giving credit to the student artists
Artist attributions: if you're using a laptop with Chrome, Firefox, or Safari, the name of each student artist should appear as you float your cursor over each poster. On an iPhone, tap each image twice.
The winning designs
Eduardo Chavez won top honors this year with his striking image of a young African American man in front of a city skyline.
There were so many wonderful posters to choose from. These other five designs were runners up and are also available as posters.
