The Nisenholzes have been involved in the community in numerous ways since the mid- 1980s. Sybil was a past representative of the Joint Board of Homeowners Associations; she served as president, treasurer and architectural chair for the Oak Forest HOA and was also honored as the city’s Citizen of the Year in 2012. Bernie is a professor emeritus at Cal State Northridge and is involved in the academic community.
