Isaiah, Isaac Hodgins led to Oregon State Beavers by family connections

Baldwin, previously the coach at Cal State Northridge, arrived at San Jose State in 1997, before Hodgins' junior season. The coach brought a fiery demeanor and innovative philosophies, installing a "mind-blowing" no-huddle offense and hiring a full-time strength coach for the first time.
