LA Valley, Mission and Pierce colleges celebrate Class of 2017 in graduation ceremonies

“I’m here to get my dream job, to be a kindergarten teacher,” said Rodriguez as she and other students gathered in Monarch Hall before the commencement ceremony began. She graduated Tuesday with an associate degree in early childhood education and plans to attend Cal State Northridge.
