COE Self-Care Activities Week Seven

March 20, 2017

Dear Staff and Faculty,

I hope you are enjoying your CSUN spring break or if you are working, that it is a quiet and restful week for you. Self-care activities will not be held this week while your self-care facilitators take a break for themselves, and will resume next week.  However, we can recommend some wonderful walks at local parks that are being lead by Mechelle Best, Chair in the Department of Recreation & Tourism Management, who shared these with us last week at our travel presentation! These walks are open to students, faculty, and staff, and all expenses, including entrance fees and transportation, are covered once you communicate with Mechelle that you will be attending. Please go to the link below for more information at

http://www.csun.edu/sites/default/files/March-April-walks-flyer.pdf  or call Michelle at 818-677-3858.

Why not continue your own mindfulness meditation practice this week? Here are two excellent resources online to support your practice:

 www.dianegehart.com    and   http://www.drshaunashapiro.com/meditations/

And keep checking our self-care website for information and events at http://www.csun.edu/eisner-education/self-care
