Like father, like son: Tre James joins dad in SUU record books

The younger James won’t be able to best his old man until the outdoor season comes along, but he might have another record in his sights before that. His 6.70 run (6.74 when adjusted for altitude) wasn’t just the fastest in SUU history, it was the second fastest in Big Sky history. The current Big Sky record holder is Cal State Northridge’s Marcus Bivines, who ran a 6.68 in 1999. For his record time, James was named the Big Sky track athlete of the week.
