COE Self-Care Activities Week Five

October 10, 2016

Dear College of Education Staff and Faculty,

What an incredible week our last week of self-care and the arts was!  We had a great presentation in our building on Tuesday on self-care and the arts with Anthony Cantrell from the Valley Performing Arts Center, we enjoyed a free performance by the Drums of India with over 400 faculty, staff, and community members in attendance at the VPAC lawn for a lovely evening on Thursday, and many of us were at the incredible celebration of arts and education with Winton Marsalis on Saturday. Thanks to all of you who helped to celebrate the important role that the arts play in education and self-care for our students and for all of us!

This week, on Tuesday, October 11th, from 12-1 in Ed 1214, we are fortunate to have another presentation from Joo Kim, Acupuncturist at the CSUN Klotz Health Center and part time instructor on Holistic  health practices. Find out more about Chinese health practices and how you can expand your self-care options! Then also on Tuesday, enjoy a wonderful relaxation meditation from 2-2:30 in the CTL conference room, and find out why over 85 faculty, staff, and students enjoyed this self-care activity last week presented to various groups at CSUN by our COE self-care program.
