This coming Sunday, October 9, will be the opening of a new exhibition at the Autry Museum of the American West—"the Autry"—in Griffith Park. It’s called California Continued; it is the most transformative project in the Autry’s nearly 30 years of existence. Included is a new ethnobotanical garden featuring more than 60 native plants and activities that explore how generations of peoples, especially First Californians, have made use of plants and water. There will be a CA native plant sale on Sunday as well! Join the celebration and learn more about our wonderful CA landscape and how traditional ecological knowledge gained through centuries of experience can help present-day residents understand and care for the California environment.
