COE Self-Care Activities Week Eight

October 26, 2015

Dear COE staff and faculty,
We are so excited that almost 50 different staff and faculty have participated in at least one COE self-care activity this semester. But sometimes, we don’t have time to get to scheduled activities that offer ways to take care of ourselves. So what to do? There are lots of options for self-care in our personal world, including self-care applications on our cell phones, which offer a wide range of self-care supports. One favorite is the Insight Timer application, which offers a lovely 2-minute mindfulness meditation with bells while also showing how many other people are also meditating at the same time all over the world!  Guided meditations are also available. Please go to the Articles & Information on Self-care section of this website for a list of other helpful self-care phone applications that you can use anytime that is convenient for you.

This week, we encourage everyone to come and enjoy the COE Halloween Party on Thursday, Oct. 29th from 12-2 in Ed 1214/1216 with a Willie Wonka theme!  In addition we continue to have the following regular staff and faculty self-care activities EVERY week:

MINDFULNESS on Tuesday, Oct. 27th, 2-2:30 in CTL conference room with Diane Gehart.
WALKING THE PATH with Maria King on Weds. Oct. 28th, 12:15-12:45 meet in the EPC dept. office Ed 1218.

Happy Halloween!
Warmly,
Shari
