We will discuss the factors that are, and are not used in determining the appropriate classification, the types of reviews conducted in the classification process, potential reclassification impact(s), and classification appeal process.

 Supervisors & Managers attending this session will gain an understanding of:

    • The important components of an effective staff position description, a staff classification review, and in-range progression processes; and
    • The connection between an accurate description, proper compensation, and effective performance management.
