COE Self-Care Activities Start Next Week

January 27, 2015

Dear Michael D. Eisner College of Education Faculty and Staff,

Welcome to our College of Education Self-care Initiative, informally called the SUN Program, starting next week on Monday, Feb. 2nd and continuing every Monday through Thursday until May! It is so wonderful that you are considering self-care as an important way to care for yourself and keep balance and health in your life.

Our Spring Semester 2015 Faculty and Staff Self-Care activity schedule is below, all lead by amazing people and happening during the noon hour, conveniently located in our Education Building rooms 1214 and/or 1216. A more detailed information sheet on each of the four activities and other self-care resources and activities is also attached. Remember, each session will be offered on a first come-first serve basis until capacity has been filled. Sessions will be closed at capacity and/or starting time so get there early to ensure your spot! Please allow a bit more time in this first week of activity sessions to complete Release of Liability forms prior to participating in your first session and a very short pre self-care survey which is voluntary and anonymous.

As a special treat on Tuesday, Feb. 3rd., a tasty lunch will be served to kick off the Tasty Tuesdays nutrition discussion!
I look forward to seeing many of you next week in this exciting time of self-care.
Warmly,
Shari Tarver Behring (self-care person in training)
