Graduate Programs Get Real

October 29, 2013

CSUN MBA is the REAL DEAL!  The graduate programs in the College of Business and Economics are getting attention for the new “Real Deal” campaign, highlighting their real value and strengths.  These include REAL FACULTY (courses are taught by leading researchers with real-world experience), REAL EXPERIENCE (students engage in award-winning, hands-on learning experiences) and REAL CAMPUS (regular events at our vibrant comprehensive university bring students face to face with top executives, and in addition to state-of-the-art courses in mainstream business disciplines they can enjoy such diverse and market-relevant electives as Music Industry Administration, Health Administration, and Educational Leadership).

COBAE’s graduate programs – pre-MBA certificate, Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Accountancy and Master of Science in Taxation – are preparing students for career success at the highest level.  Accreditation by AACSB International and recognition by US News & World Report as being among the country’s best part-time MBA programs provide external validation of their high quality and their commitment to continuous improvement.

The Graduate Programs team held an open house on October 19, attended by more than 60 prospective students.  The late morning event included program overviews by Dr. Debi Cours (MBA) and Dr. Sung-Wook Yoon (MS Accountancy), career advice from Christine Soderlund (MBA ’99), a mini-lecture on “Big Data” by Dr. Siva Sankaran, and practical program advice from a panel of students and alumni.

MBA Applications for Spring 2014 admission are being accepted at http://www.csumentor.org through November 1, and for the pre-MBA certificate program through November 15.  Applications to the MBA and MS Accountancy program for Fall 2014 admission will be due May 1, 2014.  For more information about our Graduate Programs in Business or to attend an information session, please see us online at http://www.csun.edu/mba
