CSUN Beta Gamma Sigma Hosts Virtual Workshop on Practical Diversity by Cy Shafii and Carmen Ramos Chandler, CSUN Today
California State University, Northridge’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter will be hosting “Creating Diversity in the Workplace: A Virtual Workshop” on March 2. During the event, attendees will learn about taking inclusion from theory to practice. The event is free and open to the public, though attendees must RSVP ahead of time.
The event will be hosted by guest speaker Dawn Bennett-Alexander, a celebrated author and the creator of Practical Diversity — an online space where she shares her knowledge on inclusion and diversity in hopes of making the world a better place. Bennett-Alexander is a cum laude graduate of the Howard University School of Law and a magna cum laude graduate of the University of the District of Columbia (then the Federal City College). She is licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C., and six federal jurisdictions, and she has over 50 awards and recognitions for teaching and service, including 10 Outstanding Professor of the Year Awards.
CSUN’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter, in the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics, is proud to partner with Bennett-Alexander for this virtual workshop. To register for the work shop, click here.
