Workshops on Demand allow faculty to request opportunities to meet with instructional designers and other faculty to discuss how technology can help enhance teaching and learning. iPad Essentials and Beyond
For the new and experienced iPad user, this workshop covers how to set up and navigate your iPad, manage files, store data, find apps and content, accessibility settings, and general productivity.
Presenting with Tablets
Learn how to present material for your class using a tablet computer. This session will cover how to create original presentations on an iPad or adapt existing content. The hands-on session gives participants the chance to connect to a projector and present a variety of interactive material. Be sure to bring your own devices (tablet and laptop) and a presentation you want to adapt.
Tablets: The Active Classroom
Transform your class into an active learning environment with a tablet computer. This hands-on workshop focuses on activities for communication, collaboration, creation, and assessment. Discover how to enhance the classroom experience by using collaborative whiteboarding and drawing activities, student response systems, social media activities, audio and video production, and more. Bring your own device and get ready to build and then learn how to measure student success through micro-assessments for these activities.
