Interested in earning a master’s degree in our Mass Communication graduate program? Although the applications for Fall 2024 have closed, applications for Spring 2025 will reopen in August, providing an opportunity to apply by Nov. 1, 2024.
Students will apply online at Cal State Apply in addition to sending some documents to Dr. Melissa Wall, our graduate program coordinator.
Those documents include:
Two letters of recommendation from people, such as professors, who have previously taught you. These letters should address how they know you, and what their opinion is of your work as a student in their class. Letters must be sent directly to Dr. Wall: melissa.a.wall@csun.edu.
A one-page letter about why you want to join our program.It might include your media background (an undergraduate BA, internships, student media, full-time job, volunteer work, etc.) and anything else you would like for us to know about you.
