“Pathways to Success” Program Offers Lactation Education Scholarships
Through funding provided by USDA NIFA and our “Pathways to Success” program, we are pleased to announce that scholarships will be available in Spring 2021 for undergraduate Nutrition and Dietetics students and graduate Human Nutrition students to complete a 10-week virtual comprehensive lactation education training. Benefits of this training include:
- Complete a Lactation Education Accreditation and Approval Review Committee (LEAARC) Recognized Breastfeeding course and earn the designation of a Certificated Lactation Educator (CLE).
- Satisfy the 90-hour lactation education requirement to qualify for the exam administered by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE).
- Earn continuing education credits.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis in Fall 2020 and scholarships will be awarded in Spring 2021. Please note, participants who complete this training will not earn units towards their degree program.
