CSUN Public Policy Day is hosted each year by the Marilyn Magaram Center for Food Science, Nutrition, and Dietetics and the CSUN Dietetic Internship Program with support from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Public Policy Day explores how to effectively advocate for public policy, and it provides public policy and advocacy education and hands-on training for students, professionals, and the community. This year’s theme is “Upstream factors for Food and Economic Security” to draw attention to the importance of highlighting current policies that address the ongoing needs of individuals in all sectors of human rights related to food, shelter, and equity.
