Duo and myCSUNsoftware

Why Duo?

Due to the intensity of threats noticed in the recent days, we are accelerating the need for campus-wide Duo adoption. As of April 30, 2021, Duo is required for any student accessing the myCSUNsoftware environment. You can begin to use Duo today, and you are encouraged to enroll in Duo as soon as possible in order to gain the benefits of extra layers of security. Once you are enrolled in Duo, you will be prompted to enter a second factor generated by Duo when you log in to myCSUNsoftware.

You may elect to receive a push notification (like an alert from a smartphone app) asking you to approve or deny the log-in attempt. Or, you may use the Duo app on your smartphone to generate a unique passcode that you input to authorize the log-in. Alternatively, you may have Duo call your phone and ask you to verify the authenticity of the log-in using your telephone keypad.
