Guest Lecture: Queer Necropolitics: Everyday Death Worlds and Shifting Domains of Struggle

Queer Necropolitics brings into focus regimes of attribution of liveliness and deadliness of subjects, bodies, communities and populations and their instantiation through performatives of gender, sexuality and kinship, as well as through processes of confinement, removal and exhaustion. In this talk, Dr. Posocco explores these arguments and includes a discussion of the queer necropolitical dimensions of her ethnographic research on transnational adoption circuits in Guatemala. Martin Pousson's new novel, Black Sheep Boy, reading and reception

Martin Pousson will launch his new novel-in-stories, Black Sheep Boy, at Skylight Books on Thursday, May 26, at 7:30 PM. The novel includes stories that won the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Creative Writing. Skylight Books is located in Los Feliz at 1818 N.
