Ms. Hasegawa is the UCLA Asian American Studies Center activist-in-residence fellow and the Assistant Director of Federal Relations. She received a B.A. in Asian American Studies from UCLA and an MPH from Harvard. 

Ms. Hasegawa has served as the Community Liaison for the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders under the Clinton administration. She also served as Executive Director of National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD).
