Eric C. Wat is the author of The Making of a Gay Asian Community: An Oral History of Pre-AIDS Los Angeles (Rowman & Littlefield, 2002). He is currently working on a follow-up community memoir about the AIDS movement in API community in Los Angeles, a multi-formatted project in collaboration with Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team. He's a 2018 research fellow at the ONE Institute - National Gay and Lesbian Archives. Occasionally, he teaches gender and sexuality as well as American foodways at California State University, Long Beach. His debut novel, SWIM, will be published by The Permanent Press later this year.
