Description:
The SMART Goals approach utilizes behavior-based science and principles of human motivation to provide clarity, focus, and motivation to increase the probability of achieving a goal.
This “hands-on” workshop will allow participants to create meaningful and effective SMART goals in real time as we take a process-oriented, step-by-step approach to exploring the functionality of SMART goals and what makes them so effective.
Participants will utilize behavior mapping techniques and a SMART Goal Development Guide to prioritize, develop, and implement SMART goals in both personal and professional settings. Participants will be able to apply knowledge and skills developed in this workshop to personal goals, department, team and project goals, as well as to employee Individual Development Plans and performance evaluations.

At its very heart, Wellbeing is the difference between thriving, struggling, and suffering. Gallup's extensive research has identified five elements that encompass how we experience our lives: Career, Social, Financial, Physical, and Community Wellbeing. During this workshop, participants will take the Gallup Wellbeing Index and participate in activities and reflection to help define their levels of Wellbeing in each of the five elements. Time will also be spent on identifying the gaps between current Wellbeing and what the ideal state of thriving Wellbeing is for the five elements. Materials will be provided during the workshop.

Join us for an important discussion that brings attention to the unconscious biases we all possess and provides some strategies for overcoming its impact in our work and relationships. Come learn about diversity & inclusion, how to recognize areas where unconscious bias may surface, identify strategies for avoiding bias, and learn of resources available for additional learning and involvement.
This workshop is for those interested in building awareness of unconscious bias, or looking for a refresher. During the workshop, we will engage with each other in sharing thoughts, perspectives, and ideas utilizing a variety of zoom tools such as unmute, hand raising, chat field, and breakout rooms. During this overview of unconscious bias and its impact on the hiring process, you will be provided tools and strategies for ensuring that the best candidates apply and are hired for open positions. Time for discussion and opportunities to practice implementing the strategies are included in the workshop. Workshop enrollees are encouraged to complete an online exercise in preparation to the workshop: Implicit Association Test (IAT)

Our presenter has an extensive knowledge of the CSU admission policies and procedures and aims to share their knowledge with staff and faculty interested in helping their child get to college. There is a lot of information out there - we'll provide critical and timely information, dispel myths, and ensure you are equipped to help your child research, apply and successfully transition into the college of their choice.

Be more informed about the California State University System
Realize the variety of opportunities attending a university can offer
