Upon completion of the program, students and supervisors will receive recognition at our FHTC End-of-Year Celebration in May. Enrolled student employee participants have the opportunity to be nominated by their peer mentors and selected to receive our “Outstanding Student Employee” awards.

To participate in this program:

Department of Police Services (DPS) is Transitioning to EVs to be Aligned with University’s Sustainability Goals

The Department of Police Services (DPS) is transitioning to EVs to be aligned with the university’s sustainability goals. The long-term plan for EVs at DPS is aimed at fully replacing gas vehicles with electric vehicles over the next ten years. This coincides with the sustainability efforts of the entire CSUN campus, specifically the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Furthermore, transitioning to EVs will lead to cost savings, less vehicle maintenance, and reduced dependency on costly gasoline.

Through our efforts, we hope that other universities will use our program as a model to expand their sustainability efforts.
