Calm & HR Present: Smoothing your Anxiety with Calm Resources

It’s normal to have feelings of anxiety in our lives. But when you’re in a constant state of anxiousness, it negatively impacts your mental health and your ability to thrive in your professional and personal lives. Calm’s Reduce Stress & Anxiety Collection contains resources that’ll help you return to a state of calm.

Try the following resources from the collection to develop healthy habits that can ease your anxiety:

  • Calming Anxiety
    • Choose a guided breathing meditation to calm your nervous system so you can reduce your anxious feelings.
  • Managing Anxiety On the Go
    • Shift your attention away from your daily stress through self-awareness of what’s happening with your body.
  • The Creativity of Mental Health
    • Try this guided meditation to see how your mental health is an internal artwork and you have the power to make necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Sleep & Serenity
    • Go on a deep listening excursion with warm analog drone-scapes featuring music designed to ease anxiety.

Check out the Calm app for other diverse resources that’ll support your mental health journey. Haven't redeemed your free Calm Premium subscription yet? Visit the HR Benefits Calm website for information on how to activate your account.

It All Comes Down to This! Volunteer to Assist at the 2024 Commencement Ceremonies!

The 2024 Commencement & Honors Convocation ceremonies are just around the corner, calling an end to the academic year.  Once again, the campus community will gather at the core of our campus in a magnificent way, as we all celebrate the success of our CSUN graduates. This year, we expect a healthy amount of guests in attendance of these exercises, and looking to our colleagues across the campus to assist as volunteers.  Volunteers add a valuable layer of support that enhanced our graduate and guest experience.

If you are interested in volunteering, please see the full details below.  The Office of Student Development & Transitional Programs can also answer other general commencement-related questions you may have.  We are really excited to have your support!
